Hacking, Penetration testing and Cyber Security as a whole aren’t just the technical hands on technique, tools and lectures. There are also many people throughout the history of hacker culture that have left or are leaving their mark on either the professional or cultural community.
This series is going to touch on this people and organizations, some more in depth than others. I’ll include their websites, social media and companies they run or are apart of if possible.
The first person to be featured is Aaron Swartz. Sadly, he is no longer with us however he was easily a genius and his death was subject to a lot of controversy. When I think of him, I think of his contributions to RSS and Reddit however he was involved in a lot more then that.
Some articles about him:
I HIGHLY recommend this documentary to learn a lot about him and his contributions it is a must see. You’ll quickly see why this man was easily a genius and did so much for every user of the internet over his short life:

It’s been over seven years since his suicide but his mark has been left permanently and his name is not forgotten.
If you ever want to give your condolences, his mother is on Twitter (Link HERE) and I’m sure would appreciate them when she posts about him.
