Well then. Welcome 🙂
Considering the gray area the original OSINT Escapades went down, I figured I’d start Version 2 a little differently.
Around a year ago, I posted about Government Run People Search Tools (Link HERE)
Here’s an excerpt of the post:
People search engines are all the rage at this moment in history. New ones appear online and go offline just as fast. These are the sites like thatsthem.com where you put in a first and last name and you get a list of addresses and other information.
What if I told you that there are people search engines to find out where someone lives or who lives at what address completely free and ran by the government? Would you believe me?
This isn’t a conspiracy, this is a fact.
Let me introduce you to Geographic Information Systems (GIS). These are departments across all different counties across the U.S.
They host online tools such as Parcel Access, our governments own people search tools.GainSec
So these web applications haven’t gone away. I decided to do some more digging and put everything together in a public spreadsheet
I included more things such as Google dorks you can use to find more GIS sites, Filetypes the web application’s use I’ve seen so far.
Some vendors who counties who create/maintain the web applications. Some of the vendors documentation.
So, let’s get this spreadsheet completed! I can’t do it alone, not in a reasonable time!
Here are some interesting notes from my digging:
This site has data on over 18 states!!!
LITERALLY A EASIER PRINTABLE FORMAT OF THEIR ENTIRE DATABASE. LOVE IT
Literally 30 pages from results from this one vendor:
click gis website? and it’s an expired domain 😀
Anyway, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS PROJECT!
If we can get the attention of someone more well known in the industry, I think this project really has the possibly of blowing up!
