Addition to the $150 Private LTE Network

I made the first addition to the LTE lab network I set up in the previous post HERE.

I picked up a GL.INET GL-E750V2 (MUDI) 4G LTE Portable Hotspot /Router: HERE.

What’s awesome about this is that it supports Blue Merle.

“blue-merle addresses the traceability drawbacks of the Mudi router by adding the following features to the Mudi router:

  • Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) changer
  • Media Access Control (MAC) address log wiper
  • Basic Service Set Identifier (BSSID) randomization
  • MAC Address randomization”

It supports the latest version of the MUDI firmware and you can grab the OpenWRT plugin HERE.

It also supports CBRS bands which I am the first to confirm:

This opens up all types of interesting attack vectors to test via the LTE network which I plan to explore in further posts.

This one is short but sweet but look forward to enabling Wireshark and other insights on the private LTE network coming up soon!
